Attention All Starfire ITC Owners!
End of Life: 02/01/2021
The correction signal that is used by the ITC receiver will no longer be used by government satellites after February 1st, 2021.
Your AutoTracTM will not work after this date if it's using the ITC receiver.
We received word from John Deere that effective Feb 1, 2021 StarFire ITC GPS Receivers will no longer be able to receive the SF1 or SF2 corrections required for machines to Autotrac. ITC receivers will only work for a speed source. As far as using an ITC for coverage and documentation, the WAAS signal that the receiver will be limited to use is not accurate and will not work to meet your expectations. This was not a decision made by John Deere. This change is happening because of a government satellite update where new satellites broadcasting the L5 signal are replacing the older signals. The hardware inside an ITC receiver will not allow it to receive the newer data (Starfire 3000s and 6000s will only need a software update to continue acquiring signal, please see below for more information).
Attention All John Deere Starfire 3000/6000 Receiver Owners!
StarFire 6000 and StarFire 3000 receivers must be updated to the new software to continue operating on the new signal.
Receivers must be updated prior to February 1, 2021 to avoid any interruption in function.
As John Deere continues to develop new technology, StarFire Network changes were necessary to support the addition of new satellite constellations and additional enhancements. This required the introduction of a new signal. StarFire 6000 and StarFire 3000 receivers must be updated to the new software to continue operating on the new signal. Receivers must be updated prior to February 1, 2021 to avoid any interruption in function. In order to get your StarFire 3000 or StarFire 6000 receiver(s) up to date we ask that you bring them to one of our four locations and our Integrated Solutions team will update them for a $50 fee. This is a good opportunity to have your receivers updated now before it is time to get out in the field again and require us to run a service call to update your receiver.
